Regional Truck Driving – Short Board

Davis Cartage drivers on our short board serve customers not only in Michigan, but beyond our Great Lakes into Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio, depending upon which location they work out of.   Short board drivers are asked to drive within a 250- mile radius of their work location, averaging 300-400 miles per day + stops.  Davis has short-board driving opportunities in: Corunna, Troy, Whitmore Lake, Howard City, Battle Creek, Niles and Alma Michigan.  Although short board drivers work much closer to home, overnight trips still occur.  Drivers can anticipate spending two nights out a week.

The average driver pay for 2007 was $39,000 - $60,000 based on stops/miles.

Requirements:

• Must be 23 years of age
• Hold a valid Michigan driver’s license – CDL-A
• 2 years verifiable tractor/trailer experience
• Clean driving record
