Holidays

Upon successful completion of the 90-day probationary period, full-time Davis drivers have the following holidays paid, provided the holiday falls during the employee’s normal work schedule:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day-After Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve – ½ Day
  • Christmas Day

Vacation

Upon one year of employment, full time Davis employees accrue the following vacation time:

  • 1 – 2 years seniority = 5 days vacation
  • 3 – 10 years seniority = 10 days vacation
  • 11 to 15 years seniority = 15 days vacation
  • Over 16 years = 20 days vacation

Bereavement Pay

Upon completion of your 90-day probationary period, you may take up to 3 days paid funeral leave for the death of an immediate family member.
One day paid for distant relations.

Jury Duty

If you have completed your 90-day probationary period, Davis will reimburse you for the difference between your jury pay and your regular pay, not to exceed eight hours per day, for a maximum of ten business days.

Passenger Program

Upon successful completion qualifying for a Level 1 Safety Bonus (no chargeable, preventable accidents within 6 months) and continued retention of same, Davis drivers may take a guest passenger along with them during times specified by Davis Management.   Passengers must be ten years of age or older.  Drivers must complete paperwork before bringing a guest with them, and purchasing a small liability insurance rider (minimal cost).
